DMMA’s Primary Mission

It seems that DMMA has lost sight of its primary mission to maintain the common areas, provide security and ensure our beautiful design. Instead, the DMMA would rather spend valuable time on controlling who comes through your front door.

Direct from our Articles of Incorporation:

“To maintain, operate, and otherwise manage buildings, structures, improvements, landscaping, parking areas, walks, common elements, common areas, recreational areas and facilities.”

It would also seem that DMMA believes it is appropriate for them to micromanage owners’ use of their properties by removing property rights. However, the CC&Rs are quite specific and clear on how lots will be used. These Declarations also govern conduct and standards for owners and their guests and/or tenants. A desire to enforce these are what most owners have expressed.
